Latin America Hillel Interns (Winter 2018)

Onward Israel with Hillels of Latin America is a unique opportunity to sharpen your professional skills in the start-up nation. Living in the heart of Tel Aviv for two months, interning at elite Israeli companies and taking accredited business courses, Hillels Onward Israel is the perfect opportunity to start (or restart) your career.

The Onward Israel program offers each of the participants a work placement that can be carried out over the seven weeks in Israel.

Participants who are accepted in to the program will work with the internship coordinator prior to arrival to be placed in an appropriate internship. When the participant arrives in Israel, the coordinator will contact him, as necessary, during the development of the program.

Generally, internship placements are in: marketing, business development, computer science, and start-ups, as well as a wide large of possibilities in non-profit, social and educational organizations.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

  • 27 days of internship
  • 12 academic sessions at either Tel Aviv University, Holon Institute of Technology or the International Leadership Institute at Beit Berl
  • 5 company visits days
  • 2 weekend seminars (By Hillel and Onward Israel)

ACCOMMODATIONS
Housing in Central Tel Aviv: Part of the group will stay at the Bet Leni dormitory complex on King George St. near Dizengoff Center, and part of the group will stay in apartments in Central Tel Aviv. Distribution between the houses will be decided by the program staff. Preference for apartment living will be given to older participants.

Cost

Participants will pay the program fee directly to their local Hillel

Acceptance Criteria

Latin American Jewish students and young adults, from 19 to 30 years old, principally from Uruguay, Brazil and Argentina, with a real interest in entrepreneurship, and fluent in English

Completion of a pre-registration process with the local Hillel in Latin America

Preference will be given to applicants who have not already had a long-term experience in Israel
